At Don Valley Academy, we want every child to leave a well-rounded, confident, and employable person. We understand the importance of ensuring that we offer a holistic approach to education, which spans wider than just the classroom.
To give our students a panoramic and well-rounded view of the world and what they can achieve, we use the Delta pledges system to further enhance the school experience for all our students. There are 10 pledges for our students to gain, whether you love adventure or calm, creative arts, music, sport, science, food or technology, there is something for everyone and lots of opportunities to try something new, extend enthusiasms and develop lifelong interests.
Students are given plentiful opportunities throughout their journey at Don Valley Academy, as part of our Life of a Student programme, to achieve these and gain their 3, 5, 7 and 10 pledge badges, in recognition of their achievements and contributions.
Our students can gain these pledges both inside and outside our Academy and they encourage them to contribute to our community. This offers them the opportunity to become respectable, considerate, and valuable members of the community they live in.
