Further to my letter of 24th May 2024, I am now able to share further information in regard to the last few weeks for Y11 students.  Once again, I would like to say that I have been immensely proud by

the exceptional resilience and maturity students have shown in their approach to their studies. They all deserve to do well! 

Arrangements for Y11 students

Monday 10th June School day as normal
Tuesday 11th June  School day as normal
Wednesday 12th June  School will start at the usual time and finish at 12 noon for all students except those who are taking the Polish examination in the afternoon.
Thursday 13th June School will start at the normal time and will finish at 12 noon for all students.
Friday 14th June  School day as normal – students will sit their last examination which will mark their last full day in the Academy.

Y11 students are welcome to stay for lunch if they would like to.  If you wish your son/daughter to remain in the Academy after 12 noon, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate this request.

Students who have examinations on the 18th, 19th and 20th June (Polish, Further Maths and Hospitality & Catering) should continue to revise and prepare for the examinations at home and attend any revision sessions taking place in the Academy.

Y11 Leavers’ Assembly

The Leavers’ Assembly will take place on Tuesday 18th June 2024.  Students should arrive at the Stonehill Rise entrance of the Academy at 8.55 am prompt.  Student must wear correct Academy uniform (students will be refused entry to the assembly if correct uniform is not worn).  After the assembly there will be time for shirt signing and goodbyes. The Assembly will finish by 11.00 am and all students will leave the Academy site.

As a reminder, GCSE Results Day is Thursday 22nd August 2024.  Further information will follow in due course advising students when and where to collect their statement of results. Year 11 Graduation Prom is Thursday 20th June 2024 at The Earl of Doncaster Hotel – 6.30 pm-10.30 pm.
