As we approach the summer holidays, many families will be starting to prepare to buy uniform for September 2024. Please see below for details of the uniform policy for Don Valley Academy; this information is also available on the website Uniform – Don Valley Academy and in the student planner.
Uniform
- Delta Logo Blazer
- Delta clip-on Tie
- Plain White shirt/blouse with collar (Top button must be fastened and tucked in, long or short sleeved)
- Tailored, plain black trousers or tailored, plain, black knee length skirt
- Plain black flat shoes, that can be polished (No logos, no heels, no pumps/trainers/boots and no embellishments.
- Plain black socks or plain black tights (minimum 40 denier)
- A school bag(Big enough to fit an A4-sized folder)
PE Kit
- Delta Polo Shirt
- Delta PE shorts
- Delta reversible outdoor games top
- Plain black knee-length socks
- Appropriate trainers / football boots
Optional Uniform
- Academy Logo Jumper (Worn with Academy Blazer, not as a substitute)
- Plain black belt (no large buckles)
- Outdoor Coats – Coats should be plain and have no large logos. Coats should be removed as soon as students enter the academy.
- Hoodies are not permitted.
Important Information regarding Skirts
Please note: for those students who would choose to wear a skirt, the skirt must be tailored, plain, black and knee-length. Skirts not meeting this requirement will not be accepted. This style is available from many different suppliers, including supermarkets. Please be aware that tube style, stretchy skirts are not permitted. Skirts are to be worn with plain black tights, minimum 40 denier.

Year Group Uniform
Year 7 Students who are joining the Academy in Year 7 will be issued with a uniform pack containing the new coloured logo for Delta Academies Trust and the yellow striped tie.
Year 8 Students in Y8 in September will continue to wear the yellow striped tie.
Years 9, 10, 11 Students in Y9, 10 and 11 in September will continue with the silver logo and blue striped tie until these are gradually phased out over the next 3 years.
In addition to the uniform, students will need to be equipped with a bag big enough to fit A4-sized folder and should have a pencil case with appropriate writing and drawing equipment.
