We have had an amazing half term in sport at DVA. There are so many sporting opportunities as part of our after school enrichment programme and we have had multiple teams out representing us with some fantastic results!
Some of the results:
- Our Y9 football team had a 4-0 win away at Trinity. Goal scorers were Tyler x2, George and Isaac.
- Some of our Year 10 girls took part in a Doncaster schools netball tournament. They put in some fantastic performances, showing great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship.
- Our U15 girls’ football team played their first 11 a side match of the year against Astrea Woodfields. The team put in a fantastic performance, securing a strong win and showing great teamwork throughout.
It is also great to see our students working hard outside of school to play in community teams. Some of our Year 7, 8 & 9 girls recently represented Bentley ARLFC U12s in the Wakefield Cup. The team secured an impressive 24-10 victory against Fryston . Special mention to Mylie who was awarded Player of the match. Also a huge well done to Millie, Esme, Elsa and Pixie .
